Tatonka focuses on fair and transparent production of its bags and backpacks
The outdoor brand Tatonka was founded in 1993 by Winfried Schechinger in Bavaria and is now managed in the second generation under the name of his son Andreas Schechinger as a Bavarian family business. The family is dedicated to developing the right products for nature-loving people. From clothing, backpacks, and accessories to tents – Tatonka is something truly special in the outdoor industry. What sets this company apart? All Tatonka products are manufactured in their two own factories in Vietnam. The Tatonka brand offers its employees very good working conditions and high social standards. The transparent production process of Tatonka is called Open Factory, where once a week the production facilities open their doors, allowing you to personally witness the good working conditions and meticulous craftsmanship. The high employee satisfaction is also reflected in the products: the best materials, meticulously processed by hand. Each product is also tested by the Tatonka team on their tours to guarantee the highest quality.
Tatonka – The bison among outdoor products
The word Tatonka means bison in the language of the Native American peoples, where the bison is considered a sacred animal. The bison represents freedom, nature, wilderness, and strength for the Tatonka brand. That’s why you’ll find the logo with the embedded bison on all Tatonka backpacks and bags. Tatonka backpacks and bags are known for their smart features, durable materials like coated polyester, and excellent craftsmanship. But it’s also the functional design in a beautifully natural color palette that is breathtaking. Tatonka is the perfect companion for any situation, and not just because of the functional backpacks. Daypacks and bags for work, study, and school extend the Tatonka range and offer space for laptops and more. Tatonka products are not only everyday problem solvers and outdoor specialists, but also with their travel accessories, they’re perfect for the big adventures – for those who travel a lot and rely on quality and versatility.
